Hello Roper Families! A big welcome back to our returning families and a warm welcome to new families joining our community. The Roper Elementary PTO looks forward to a successful 2024-2025 school year with you.
The PTO’s goal is to support school staff in creating a safe and fun learning environment for all students as they “rocket toward success.” There are many PTO sponsored events and activities throughout the year that help meet this goal:
- Buses for field trips
- School library support (book fairs, Read to Succeed Incentives, little free libraries)
- Teacher appreciation (conference meals, Teacher Appreciation Week, seasonal fun)
- Social events (family fun nights – some free and some ticketed)
- Educational materials for students and supplies for their classrooms
- Opportunities to participate in FUNdraisers to get prizes
…and the list goes on!
For the last few years we have been been raising funds to make some improvements around Roper including;
Paying for and installing inclusive play for our playground (hopes for this to be complete this year!)
Funding our after school club program (PTO piloted in the 2023-2024 school year) with an expansion this year to serve more students!
Supporting school and classroom enhancements.
We would love for you to be a part of these things!
The PTO is powered by parents and we thrive when there is support from our Roper families. Every family is unique, with its own priorities, needs, talents and time constraints. That’s why, throughout the year, we have many different ways for parents and families to be involved in the PTO and support our school. From sending snacks for teacher appreciation week, to helping run events there is something that every family can participate in!
